OPERATIONS MANUALS:  THE FOUNDATION TO CONSISTENT EXECUTION

Documentation of your business' processes and procedures is the foundation to consistent execution of your franchise concept. Your Operations Manual becomes the core reference document for how to replicate your business methods for all franchisees and so must be thorough, clear and user-friendly. In addition, it must clearly specify what customer products and services, policies, marketing approaches, etc. are required for compliance with your franchise agreement. Learn key content that should be included as well as how to create a user-friendly Operations Manual in this workshop.

All course materials are presented in English only. All attendees receive admission to the exhibits on all three days.

Theresa Huszka, CFE Senior Consultant - MSA Worldwide

Theresa’s has over 18 years of experience in franchising and her consultancy is devoted to assisting companies design and develop their franchised business model. MSA Worldwide’s services include feasibility assessments, creation of training programs and operations manuals, design and development of franchise sales programs including marketing, advertising, and franchise sales process systems and long range strategic planning.

Theresa was the Director of Franchise Sales Development for TSS Photography. Prior to TSS, Theresa was Executive VP of Development for Cianci European Eatery, a joint partnership with MFV Expositions and joined MFV Expositions as Director of Development to head up the development and launch of its sales automation software, MyBruno.com Theresa was also VP of Franchise Development for SmallBizPros, Inc., which she joined in 2002 to redevelop their franchise development programs.

Theresa is a graduate of the International Franchise Association’s Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) program and has been a regular speaker for the IFA and Franchise Update Media group on the topics of lead generation, effective resale programs, effective franchise sales processes, the use of technology in franchising and candidate profiling. She has co-authored an article for Franchise World magazine and participated in Caliper Human Strategies study on sales excellence in Franchise Development.


Andrew Seid Consultant - MSA Worldwide

Andrew is a consultant for MSA Worldwide, a domestic and international franchise advisory firm. While an experienced litigator and a transactional lawyer in franchising, Andrew is the son of our founder and franchising has been part of his life-long experience starting when he attended his first IFA convention at the age of ten.

Andrew earned his BA in business from Franklin & Marshall and his JD from Villanova University School of Law. Starting in high school and continuing through college and law school, Andrew has worked with MSA clients in the design of franchise systems, competitive research, mergers and acquisitions, and franchise sales. He interned at the IFA working closely with many of the leading figures in franchising, as well as gaining experience as an intern with several well-known franchise law firms. His academic background in labor and employment law and his legal foundation in franchising, when coupled with his business and consulting experience, brings a unique dynamic our clients can rely upon.

While as a consultant Andrew is no longer practicing law, he is a member of the bar in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Connecticut and practiced as a litigator until he joined MSA as a consultant. MSA does not provide any legal advice or services for our clients as we are not a law firm; however, Andrew remains active and continues his participation at ABA and IFA legal symposiums. This gives him the capacity to review the legal documents prepared by our client’s outside lawyers from a perspective that provides significant benefits to our clients.

In addition to his other client services at MSA, Andrew works on MSA’s emerging franchisor sales incubator team, which assists clients in both developing their pipeline of potential franchisees and also trains franchisors how to internalize the Franchise Sales Process.
