Paul Altero CEO - Bubbakoo's Burritos

Paul Altero is the CEO, Co-owner and Founder behind Bubbakoo’s Burritos, which serves up delicious Fresh-Mex fare and a community-focused dining experience at the Jersey Shore.

In 2008, the first restaurant in the chain debuted in his hometown, Point Pleasant, N.J., and expanded to 13 locations throughout the region in the past 9 years. Bubbakoo's Burritos has launched the concept as a franchise model with 3 of the locations being franchised with 3 additional locations currently under construction.

Paul graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management in 1996. During his 25 year career in the hospitality industry, Paul has led operations for Johnny Rocket’s as Regional Director of Eastern Operations and Interim Vice President of Operations. In those executive roles, Paul oversaw locations regionally and nationally. Other organizations Paul has been employed in management with include Resorts Hotel & Casino, Pizzeria Uno, Nordstrom (restaurant division) and Friendly’s.

In an effort to continuously mentor young leaders and encourage entrepreneurship, Paul speaks at his alma mater at the University of Delaware encouraging graduate and undergraduate students frequently. Paul most recently was the recipient of The 2015 Businessperson of the Year Award by the Future Business Leaders of America for his mentorship of young people and outreach to local high school students. During his professional career Paul has developed countless managers to successful, next-level positions. Paul personally supports many local charities with a focus on the growing global child trafficking epidemic.

Paul grew up at the Jersey shore. He has lived in Point Pleasant, N.J. over a decade with his wife Kimberly and their two daughters.
