James Cozine Vice President, Leasing - Urban Edge Properties, Inc.

Jim Cozine is the VP of Leasing for the NYC based REIT Urban Edge Properties, the 2015 spin off from Vornado Realty Trust. He has a decade of experience as an entrepreneur and over 2 decades of varied experience in the Retail Real Estate industry. After owning a Post-Secondary Private for Profit NJ Vocational School for 10 years he spent 5 years as a Licensed Salesperson brokering retail real estate transactions in the Northern Jersey market. He then spent 10 years as the Corporate Real Estate Representative for various national retailers facilitating Lease and Sales transactions in 19 states east of the Mississippi. The most recent 10 years he has being leasing Retail Real Estate for NYC REIT’s with properties from Maryland to Boston. His wide variety of experience in working on all sides of “the deal” spans the sourcing and completion of Franchise and Corporate retail transactions through to the actual operations of the Real Estate in which they are located. This unique perspective on the industry gives him strong insights into the process and he endeavors to share his experience with others to assist them in achieving success.
