Paulo Mauro President - Global Franchise Latam
As president of Global Franchise Network, Paulo Mauro is responsible for running the operations of The Global Franchise Network in Brazil and assisting national and international clients expanding their companies and franchises into other markets around the world.
Prior to launching The Global Franchise Network, Mr. Mauro was the president and founder of Global Franchise Brazil. He is known as one of the pioneers of franchising in Latin America. He has worked on over 200 international franchising projects since opening Global Franchise Brazil in 1987.
Mr. Mauro has written several published works on franchising in Latin America. From 2000-2004, Paulo sat on the board of directors of the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) and held positions such as Director of Events and Educational Trainings and Director of International Relations, where he organized the first ABF Franchising Fair and helped in the signing of the agreement with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Association (APEX) that allowed Brazilian franchises to expand internationally.
In 2006, Mr. Mauro was one of 10 people to receive the New Brazil Entrepreneur Award given by Grupo Abril, Brazil's largest editorial group, and the Brazilian Endeavor Foundation. Paulo graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from the Polytechnic College of University of Sao Paulo, a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Mackenzie University and a Master in Business from Getulio Vargas Foundation University.
